I'm so thankful to have been able to go on this amazing trip to Panama.
On the first day we started working hard, and we ended up finishing the court in just three days. It was so rewarding. After we finished, our group went to a river and played with the Panamanian kids, too. The day after some of the kids from a school nearby were able to come play on the court. We played basketball and volleyball, and a few hours after that, we had the official court inauguration where people danced and played all night.
Going to a community like Agua Fria really changed my view of the world because not everyone has the same luxury services and items the United States has. For example, they don't always have running water, and while we were there a water truck guy came and filled up three tanks. One of the kitchen ladies asked if she could have water in her house if she cooked breakfast for him, but unfortunately she could not persuade him.
Again I'm so thankful for the opportunity to go on this trip, and it wouldn't have been possible without help from friends and family.
